"The ideal life is pursuit of excellence in mind, body and spirit."

Wednesday June 18

Most of us started off our day with a breakfast buffet at our hotel in Athens. A few people never received a wake up call. Once everyone was ready to go we headed to the Acropolis. We enjoyed exploring the Parthenon and the Agora (where Paul preached) and had silent time to reflect on the different things we had learned and talked about. We also picked up a new skill.... avoiding the various umbrella vendors. The weather was pretty hot and the portable fans came in handy.

Next, we got back on the bus and headed to Corinth. Almost everyone took the opportunity to take a quick nap on the way. We went to see the canal in Corinth which was a beautiful sight. We walked to get lunch, and Jack tried to convince the chaperones to sign a waiver allowing him to bungee jump....don't worry, Jack was unsuccessful. We explored Corinth some more (another Paul hotspot), and headed to the port.

We boarded the ferry to Patmos, squeezed into our little rooms and ate dinner. So far the trip has been amazing.

Let's see - you had dinner overlooking the city of Athens and the Acropolis. I had dinner at Jalisco's with a view of the parking lot, but come to think of it no one who works at Jalisco's speaks English - so maybe not too far different - except, unless i have been misinformed, i can assure you that Paul never visited Jalisco's.

Everybody pay attention. Represent us well.

We hereby give permission for Harman Lindsey to bungee dive off a bridge tethered only by an oversized rubber band – as long as Jack Harris’ parents do the same. (Just make sure you get a picture.)

Enjoy yourselves. Everyone back here is extremely jealous. We are also very proud of you guys.
